I can’t change my time zone

Recent versions of iPadOS disallow changing of your TimeZone settings if the ScreenTime Passcode has been configured for recovery using an AppleID.

To change your TimeZone settings, you must first remove/turn-off the ScreenTime Passcode - which requires knowledge of the currently set ScreenTime Passcode:

Settings > ScreenTime > Change Passcode > Turn Off ScreenTime Passcode

After removing the Passcode, you’ll be able to change your TimeZone settings.

There are 2 reasons that would happen:

• Screen Time settings are preventing changes to your time zone.
• The iPad has Mobile Management software from a company that will not allow changes.
