I have figured out why the screen capture gets stuck after making a video

I believe I have figured out why the screen capture gets stuck after making a video.

What happens:

1) You shoot a video.

2) (picture #1) Then you try to capture a still and the selected space just gets stuck there (blue arrow). The only way to get rid of it is to quit screen capture using the Activity Monitor (red arrow). (I have read about poor devils who restarted their computers to get rid of it.)

3) (picture #2) What you must do is, when you reactivate screen capture is first remove yourself from movie mode. You can see in the picture below that movie mode (blue arrow) is still selected. Click one of the picture taking mode options (e.g. red arrow) before you capture. That's it!
