Screen Time Usage

Iā€™ve been using Screen Time for a long time and Iā€™ve notice inaccuracies with my usage. In my efforts trying to resolve this, Iā€™ve concluded theirs not much I can do.. but what does the grey truly indicate? Is it Apple background processes or something else. Theirs been mornings where Iā€™ve awakened to my screen time usage being a few hours despite not using my phone. Note: I have my Background app refresh off and Iā€™ve reset my screen time to many times to count 😂 etc.

Hi bray2k,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you have some questions about Screen Time, and we're happy to help. The gray area of the graph would be other uses of your device that do not fall in to the specified categories of Social, Shopping & Food, or Entertainment. If you got to Setting > Screen Time > See All Activity and tap on "Show categories", that can give you a better idea of what is and is not included in each category. See more Screen Time here: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Thanks.
