Promotional messages not syncing

Thanks for letting us know about the restart for each device. Have you confirmed that Messages in iCloud has been enabled for both devices? If not, be sure to go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Messages, on each device, and check the slider is in the ON position.

If you find that both devices have the feature above enabled, then it would be best to connect with Apple Support so they can investigate this iCloud syncing issue. You can reach them directly at Get Support.

I would imagine that most messages you're getting from business are SMS messages, not iMessages.

Have you made sure you have Text Message Forwarding enabled on your iPhone? Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding.

Have you tried restarting both of your devices then testing again? It may seem like a small step but it can resolve many issues.

Let us know.

What you can try to do is this. Sign out of iMessage on all of your devices. Restart them. Sign back in on your iPhone. Wait until it reactivates. Sign back in on your other devices. Wait until it reactivates. Go back and re-enabled Text Message Forwarding. Double-check that iCloud Syncing is still enabled. Sometimes, this is the kick in the pants that the system needs.

Resetting network settings is always a good, quick thing to try. Great work!

What do you mean by "Promotional" messages? Are these iMessages or SMS?
