Assistive Touch Alternatives to double side click in apple wallet

I have seen this question asked a lot but have not seen a solution.

My mother and father-in-law can not do a double-side click fast enough to confirm an Apple payment in wallet. Is there a way I can substitute another gesture (finger swipe or two screen buttons that have to be pushed within a certain period of time. Even approving with a second keypad entry would be fine. Double-side clicks in rapid succession are difficult for my older relatives to do.

I have seen some people try to answer this by saying to enable face time. If you are transferring funds with Apple cash (gift to a grandchild) face id does not get you around a double side click to complete the transaction.
