Install security update on my iPhone

Yesterday I could have installed security update. Today it wants to install it later?

My iPad did the same thing. I also did not have the "Install now" option. I tapped "later" and the screen showed it was "preparing." A few minutes later I found installed and working

When I looked at the Software Update on both devices, there was only a Download and Install option, which I assume means the whole upgrade package. I’m on an iPhone 12 mini, and iPad Air. thanks
