Yes, it does have a card number. Internally. As do all other payment cards.

To use Apple Card titanium card, insert the chip in a chip reader, or use the magstripe for antiquated readers.

Or use Apple Pay on your iPhone and pay electronically, and keep the card in your wallet.

For no-card-present purchases, look up the current virtual card number in your iPhone or iPad.

Or use direct payments, where the website takes Apple Pay online.
