I unzipped a zip file, and now it’s an application. I want to launch this application (it’s a game) but whenever I click on it nothing happens. Please help.

That won't work. macOS runs only on Macs, not on iPad.
There are apps that run on iPhone iOS, iPad iPadOS, and macOS on Apple silicon, but those apps are loaded via the app store.
Delete it. Or save a pointer to the game until you have a Mac available.

Sorry. You aren't doing anything wrong. The game is junk. It doesn't work. Delete it.
An iPad or iPhone doesn't and won't run games unpacked from a zip.
Not without extra steps, and then only in specific circumstances.
Apps are usually either web apps, or are apps downloaded from the app store.
Are you trying to do something else here that doesn't involve a web app or the app store?
