Email Migration to Apple Mail (Custom Domain) Mojave 10.14.6

I am moving my business emails to Apple Mail under my business domain (custom). I know emails can be imported (though, at this time, I don't see the feature available anywhere). I am ready to start Step 3 of custom domain setup and update DNS records with my domain provider. Before I do so, I need to know if I will be able to import the existing emails AFTER I finish the custom domain setup.

It might be relevant to know that email accounts with my domain and web hosting provider are pointing to Microsoft Office 365 Outlook, which is the service I have been using for emails. I requested my hosting service to migrate my email accounts to their own service, but they were not able to do it. Following is their explanation as to why.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply!

Unfortunately our email admin team have confirmed the following:

O365 email sign in requires a different kind of authentication, OAuth.

Our hosted email platform does not support this method of authentication at this time and as such emails cannot be migrated using our migration tool.

The only workaround I can recommend is to set up both accounts on an email client like Thunderbird, and copy all folders over locally on that device.

If you have any other questions please let us know and we will be happy to help!

I have been copying "several" years of emails by hand but now the moves are not syncing with the webmail email account (hotmail) I have been copying them to as a backup even though I still have a lot of available space. The changes have only populated on the older iMac that I used to move the emails. Neither my newer iMac Apple Mail, which runs the same version of OS (and is a beast as I use it to edit video), nor the webmail service reflect the emails I have moved. The folders have been created, but they remain empty after several days. Now Apple Mail in the older iMac is stuck as the below image. Nothing I do makes that change: quitting, force quitting, rebooting, etc.

I am running Mojave 10.14.6 on both iMacs and cannot update to a newer OS as I would have to update expensive software. Also, both iMacs have a lot of HD space available as I store files on my server, not locally on any computers.

Thanks!
