Dolby Atmos MacOS

Mac OS is sending out a PCM audio Signal to my sound processor which needs to be bitstream for full Dolby Atmos to work. I can see in the midi setup the option for 5.1.4 but not 7.1.4 (which is what I have) but even when selecting Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 it doesn't send an actual Atmos signal to the processor. It works great through the Apple TV but I have not gotten it to work through the Mac.

Re: "Dolby Atmos MacOS"

Am no expert, and don't pretend to know anything about a PCM audio Signal, and sound processor.

Apple support have some articles online that may or may not be helpful ...

ie: in working with apps that can use Dolby Atmos. (Tv may have a sound bar that works with Dolby Atmos).

I may be wrong, yet it seems Mac is set up for 5.1.4 ... wondering what it is that you have with 7.1.4

eg: maybe there's an app from a manufacturer to install?
