Question

New Series 8 watch / iphone 12 w/ios 16.1.1

I have a new Series 8 watch and am unable to pair with iphone 12 (iOS 16.1.1). I unpaired my Series 3 watch, still no go. I have rebooted my iPhone, no go.

Ideas?

Out of interest why hsve you resisted updating to the latest iOS? That is the first thing to try.

And set up the series 8 as a new watch, without backup restore

At this point, your best option may be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar in an Apple Store near you and let them look at it. If that is not possible use the online Apple Support option. Either way:
