I have an overheating issue and I wanted to try factory resetting my phone as a last resort before taking it to a service. I have my photos saved in iCloud, but no backups. Can I still get my photos back after the reset even if I don't "restore backup"?

If you have them saved in iCloud then they should return when you turn on iCloud again after resetting.
