I am trying to factory reset and install fresh copy of OS on a MacBook Pro 2015. I got it erased, but it kept crashing during the reinstall of Monterey. The computer is now doing internet recovery and when I try to install the original software it doesn’t show the hard drive for me to click on to install to. What’s my next option?

use Disk Utility to Repair disk.
be sure to 'show all devices', and start by repairing the PHYSICAL drive with its immutable, manufacturer-given device-name, and work down the hierarchy of containers and partitions until you get to the MacOS Volume, and repair that as well.
'MacOS Base System' is the name of the Recovery system, either in the Mac's ROM or in a disk image, You can't install there, its typically around 2GB.

Did that and went to do the install again and the drive appeared. It is installing now. Thank you.
