Instead of any check mark (sent/delivered) the only thing I see when i send a message is a written “sent”. The icon/graphic for check marks is missing completely. I have this since a couple month already and I’m really really tired of it. I reinstalled the app multiple times and keep it and IOS always updated. It also seems like nobody else has this problem, since I can’t find help on google…

Are you asking about Messenger, the Facebook messaging app? Or about Messages, the pre-install Apple app?
To the best of my knowledge, there are no checkmarks in Messages. I certainly don't see any. Note that you will only see status messages (Sent, Delivered, Read) if you're using iMessage (blue). If you're using SMS messages (green) you will only see a stats message if the delivery failed.

Do you use FB messenger and if yes can you see the delivery check marks there and if not then have you ever tried to solve it ?
Talking about Facebook messenger chat application , even the FB support list don't have that question on their list
