Keyboard typing wrong characters in Windows 10 Boot Camp

Hi, I've recently installed Win 10, works pretty well except that the embedded physical keyboard mismatches some characters, often replacing them with '<' or '>'.

I have tried different languages and keyboards settings but no luck.

Any suggestions please?

This may, or not, be any help, but, I use an Apple keyboard with an iMac running Windows 10 with Bootcamp in the UK and select "United Kingdom - Apple" as the keyboard language. All keyboard characters print as per the key symbol, such as "@". I had this problem before I chose that language.

Does this only happen when you are typing in Windows? Normally I would suspect a dodgy keyboard, as there are no settings which would cause that.

"UK English" isn't the name of a keyboard input source. Are you using the one called "British" on your Mac?

What is the name of the keyboard you are using inside Windows 10, "United Kingdom"?

Could you be more specific about what is being replaced with what, and also what language keyboard you are using? Also tell us exactly what the keyboard setting is inside your Win 10 system. Sometimes something needs to be added to Windows to make it match an Apple keyboard.

Thank you for replying.

Well as I wrote initially, greater-than and less-than symbols are showing up while typing other letters. I didn’t notice any specific pattern or regularity, it can happen while typing any characters.

Also, it’s not constant but occurs more often when typing fast (like if the system cannot catch up quick inputs).

I’m using mostly a UK English input on an Italian Apple keyboard hardware.

Does it help your investigation or any other details I may add?
