The “funds availability” is described in detail in the “Terms and Conditions” accessible from within your Wallet.
Timelines can vary based on account pre-validation and type of transfer.
These sorts of “holds” is a common industry practice and NOT unique to Apple Savings.
Chattanoogan is 100% correct. Apple Savings is a High Yield Savings Account and one of the ways banks offer higher interest rates is to use the least expensive way to transfer funds. But low cost equals slow transfers. Transfers don’t move on weekends. Also because of the dollar amounts involved, transfers are subject to additional banking regulations to prevent money laundering etc.
Apple Savings does permit instant transfers up to $10,000 (no more than $20,000 in a 7 day rolling period) a day when transferred to Apple Cash. You can instantly transfer from Apple Cash to you bank account for a fee, or transfer to bank in 1 to 3 days for no fee.

It’s the same process. Whatever bank is transferring funds, is taking their good ol’ time. What bank is it? I bank with several large national banks and they move funds around very quickly, but take 5 to 7 days to get into my Apple Savings account. Why? It’s cost them money to transfer funds? Banks are not in the business to give things away. But what company isn’t? It’s just a cost savings method.
Sorry for mis-interpreting your post.
Not sure how you performed your transfer, by my own recent ACH “Push” xfer initiated from my external bank was in my GS Savings the 2nd day.
Me too - it has taken 5 business days for me to achieve a deposit from either of the two banks I use. I have seen the same delays for several such transactions. How long does it take to achieve a withdrawl?
Your terms are confusing, sorry for my confusion. Where are the funds coming from and where are they going to? Sorry to be so primitive, but I want to avoid any further confusion. I understand if you don’t want to name your bank, so use the industry standard term of external bank (Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi etc.) and Apple Savings for the destination or origination.
I’m not referring to taking funds out but putting funds in.
