How can I initiate a "do-over" to start the MacBook Air from the HELLO screen. I have nothing on my opened window but My Name and Enter Pasword, which it will not accept any PW I type in. (Desperate)

You can always force Quit the Mac if necessary and try again—
force quit a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.
Force Shut down your Mac.
Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac
