M1/M2 Mac mini screen freeze/crash/black/disconnects Console debugging and logs combined thread

Hallo everybody. I updated from M1 mini to M2 mini this April.

M1 mini had a lot of disconnection problems that seemed to be gone on the M2 mini.

I imigrated Kodi with third party Add-ons together with all my M1 previous apps and settings.

I Had a M1 mini with an external monitor 4k, connected through HDMI.

Monitor running at native resolution.

System up do date from Monterey to Ventura. Still lots of screen freezes.

M2 mini not a single freeze untill I tried to download a bunch of Kodi third party add ons.

Since then the system became unstable.

I tried to uninstall Kodi, going manually through every library/application support Kodi folder

and deleted them all. Searching for .Kodi in finder did not return a single file I needed to delete.

I then reinstalled Kodi cleanly but the screen freezes remained.

I started Console and live logs. I had a freeze when selecting open download in finder.and suddenly switched to console and stopped the logging. I had only IINA .avi player open playing a movie. PLus Avast Free and MalwareByte free in the background.

In the screenshot the console has Finder TCFURLInfo: :TranslateRawPOSIXError 2 - 43, path: 'null'

Then there is this suspect CoreDuetContext.framework SimulatingCrash. Reason <private>

error message. I tried to google it but nothing.

I don't know if Kodi has left some malware that I can not find.

Reinstall OS seem to be the only option here as I had no time machine installed.

Unless we can not find a solution.

PLease try this method, launch console live log, and stop it right after a screen freeze. Take a snapshot of the error screen and post it here.

This way we might build up some useful cross-references to better identify the problem.

Another thread point this freeze screen error to usb-c hubs, if that is also a case, there should be a relevant error in the console. Stop the recording right after the crash and take a snapshot.

Also, very important, please post your monitor model, and type of Video connection at the beginning or end of your post, together with the system version, of your mac mini, M1 or M2.
