Can a text message group be removed without also deleting the individual contact information?

So we understand the questions correctly, are you asking if removing a group conversation would delete the contact information for contacts in the group on your device? If so, then as long as the contacts in the group conversation are saved in your Contacts list, deleting the conversation should not remove any contact information.
