Hey!! Is anyone facing issue with MacBook Air M1's hinge?
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.4
It's very brand new..just 10 days old and I researched about this issue and found that its a manufacturing defect in some of the MacBooks. Most of the people who faced the same issue got their MacBooks replaced by Apple(They received a new product).
The magnet is not holding the screen when I put it down (in sleep mode).
What's the issue?
The hinge has become super stiff after 3 days of use.. doesn't lifts up with one hand...also the magnet isn't properly holding the screen...it just releases it after some time
Apple's response to a still hinge is to give it time to loosen up.
What do you mean by: "the magnet isn't properly holding the screen". What is it not releasing? After how much time?
Still = stiff
If there is physical damage, Apple needs to evaluate it hands-on.
You have 14 days to get your money back.
What if the device gets more than 14 days old? Can I get a free repair or total replacement? The device is under 1 year warranty by apple?
If there is physical damage, Apple needs to evaluate it hands-on.
You may can get warranty adjustment, but only Apple can determine that. You have to let Apple evaluate it hands on.
Yes, absolutely. Apple will and should take care of it since your device is under warranty. And this issue seems like a big deal.
Ohh got it!! Thank you so much for the help😊
