Are you talking about the LED Cinema Display (24-inch), model A1267, released in October 2008? That one used Mini DisplayPort and had a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. If the cable from from that monitor is non-detachable, you would need a USB-C to Mini DisplayPort (female) adapter. These are a dime a dozen.

Or about the 30-inch Cinema Display? Apple released the first version of that in 2004 and the second in 2006 – although they continued to sell the latter into mid-2010. This display has a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, which means that you would need an USB-C to dual-link DVI adapter, not the more common USB-C to single-link kind.
