Urgent! Phone got slightly wet from a wave while I was taking a video 3 days ago and now won’t charge

Liquid detection message has been going on for 36h+ and now the phone won’t charge at all anymore. I’m on vacation solo and will leave on Saturday, im running out of battery and need support to charge it. I did let it out to dry, I didn’t force dry it. The charger is an original Apple charger and the phone is a few months old (less than a year). Thanks for your urgent help

Try a wireless charger. That’s probably your only hope. If you can get it charged enough, back it up to iCloud ASAP.

The phone will probably have to be replaced. Liquid damage is not repairable.

If you see a liquid-detection alert on your iPhone, read this support article for what to do --> If you see a liquid-detection alert on your iPhone - Apple Support

"When you connect a Lightning cable or an accessory to your iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later, your iPhone can warn you if there's liquid in the Lightning port."

If it was salt water it could have left a residue that might still interfere even if you see no water.
