This probably belongs in iPhone, not Photos, but...
No iPhone SE (1st gen 2016, 2nd gen 2020, 3rd gen 2022) has a separate 0.5 (wide angle) camera lens.
All three are equipped with a 12.0 megapixel lens with 1.0 optical zoom.

To capture a wider image than the standard lens captures in Photo mode, use the Panorama setting and use the guideline to pan left to right or right to left across the scene.

Hello hydrangea112,
We have a great guide for iPhone camera basics that should help you with the various zoom options available: iPhone camera basics
Zoom in or out
* On all models, open Camera and pinch the screen to zoom in or out.
On iPhone models with Dual and Triple camera systems, toggle between 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 2.5x, and 3x to quickly zoom in or out (depending on your model). For a more precise zoom, touch and hold the zoom controls, then drag the slider right or left.
Keep in mind that your iPhone SE model will not have some zoom options if you click on the link to see which ones are supported. If you have any other questions about using your iPhone camera, reply back here.
All the best.
