Trackpad / Mouse clicking Bug after updating to MacOS Monterey 12.6.7
I recently updated my work computer to MacOS Monterey 12.6.7. I am currently using a 15-in, 2016 Macbook Pro with an intel processor. Since the update, I have had issues with my trackpad and clicking ability (both on the trackpad and my external mouse) being extremely glitchy. Without any rhyme or reason, suddenly my clicks will stop registering on the screen no matter what window I try, even if I force quit out of everything. The only thing that works to fix is restarting the computer, and sometimes that even takes two tries before the problem is fixed.
I have seen other users in the past ask this question and receive advice to do a PRAM or SAS reset. I have tried both and STILL seem to be having glitches. I have restarted my computer, no joke, 50 times in the last week. I've been late logging on to meetings and even had my click capabilities stop working MID meeting.
Of note: I am still able to move my mouse around the page and even swipe back and forth between windows when the glitch occurs...but no clicking works. I've adjusted my click settings multiple times. Any advice?
