By default, you should get an email. You can disable that, though.
Click on your name, here, then View Profile, then Subscriptions.

Finding a Post...
You can do so through Google:
Use my User Tip: Find Older Posts: [username] site:discussions.apple.comunity
To add to Barney’s post, if you don’t see anything in My Subscriptions, try setting the Filter to “Authored.”
