This started not to long ago receiving a banner notification on IMAC of yellow triangle with red exclamation "Detected: Trojan" followed by a number and "Mac scan required"; however if I go to the systems icon or scan my computer with virus scan nothing shows up infected.
It appears to be a lure to tap into but any thoughts on how to get rid of it

Open Notifications System Settings and remove whatever app you added that is pushing the notification. The icon will likely match what you see.
You can also look in Safari Settings, Websites, Notifications to see if is a website you allowed to send notifications.
