I use a Macbook Air 2020, 13", Retina, 8G, Monterey 12.6.6. I have been unsuccessful in all attempts to upgrade to Ventura. The download can take days to complete, and then when it finally starts to install, it fails. Advice appreciated!

How is the computer connected to the Internet ?
For better and more reliable results, connection via an Ethernet Cable to Router
Switch to a different Wifi Network either at home or Office, Friend, Associate, School, University, Coffee Shop etc
Software on the computer interfering with the download process including AntiVirus Software
Notation: Disabling the AV Software may or may not solve the issue. Removal of the AV Software may increase the chances of the download to perform as expected.

Cancelled. Thanks! Free space was suspiciously low, so I need to spend some time investigating and cleaning up duplicate files and the like. This may be above my pay grade! If so, I will find an expert to take a look and advise how I can clear up more space.
It shouldn't take anywhere near that long. Cancel the download.
How much free space do you have left on the drive?

It's connected via wifi. I know that there are some dead spots, so connecting directly to the router makes good sense. I had disabled the AV software previously but had not considered removing it, so that gives me something else to try. I hadn't thought about VPN but that is definitely something to look into further. Thanks for some great suggestions!

Ok! I am trying again, in safe mode. It is saying that it will take about 6 days to download...I guess I will let it chug away overnight and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion!
