I just bought ipad pro 12.9 inch and upon unboxing by store sale representative while iam at the store and checking the item there’s a dent near power on button. She then tells me theres nothing that they can do about? Please enlighten me

You should insist on the packaging having intact Apple tamper-evident seals - as shown in this example of new AirPods.

If the iPad was purchased new - and was damaged when unboxed - it should be returned to the retailer from which it was purchased for exchange.
