My apple watch crown stopped working, battery got drained and can’t charge after swimming in a pool

Crown stopped working and battery drained after swimming in a pool. The battery is un able to charge, it is showing the charging sign on but is not able charge the battery and to restart the watch to open. Apple watch series 5 satinless steel black and was in a very good condition
