My Apple TV box has a light on but I keep getting a no signal message

I tried unplugging tv and apple box and then restarting. Does not work.

“No signal” would typically be a message from the TV that it is not getting a signal from the selected HDMI port.

  • Verify that the TV is set to take input from the HDMI port to which the Apple TV box is connected. They are usually numbered.
  • Verify the cable connections, by disconnecting on both ends, then reconnect. Check that the plugs fit firmly.
