My photos use more storage than my phone has

I have Iphone 12 and on it I have 128 gb of storage. When I calculate my storage space on the settings app it says that I have 116 gb taken up out of alredy mentioned 128gb but under it it says that photos somehow take 148gb of my storage. Does anybody know what is the problem and if it has a fix
