Why when I turn the power button, the screen display does not switch to night vision mode in glowing red?

Apple Watch Ultra 2 very dim in dark areas I purchased the Apple Watch Ultra to the first week of October just downloaded the new 17 point one update hoping that it would solve the dimming issue when you head into a dark area so dim it’s so hard to read text messages or even the time. Why does the Apple Watch series 9 dims in dark lighting At night when the ambient light is dark the watch goes dimmer and can hardly see it. You go somewhere with better lighting and it gets brighter. It should get brighter in less ambient areas

"Turn the power button"? The Apple Watch has two buttons:

Digital Crown
Side button

The Side button, which controls power, does not turn.
