I can still see the files when I go to import off the sd card but nothings there they all come up “missing file”. When looking at the sd card file I can’t find them. My computer crashed mid way through import. Is there anyway to retrieve them?

Since the files do not appear on the computer or the SD card after the crash, it appears that the crash may have caused data loss. Try removing the card and reinserting it, or inserting the card into a different computer in case your Mac's card socket is malfunctioning. Otherwise, the only thing that I think of is to get some recovery software to retrieve the files from your card.
