I created a really basic application on Automator that opens a specific website when it's run.
The website loads up on Google Chrome perfectly fine, however, I'm receiving this error every time which is quite annoying. Any idea why?
Yes, I originally created it as an application, but I just made a new one as a workflow instead and I don't get the error anymore hmm...

A shell script containing the following command should also work:
#!/usr/bin/env zsh
open -a "Safari" "https://www.apple.com"

Do you have your web browser set to Chrome? I created an automator app that does this and it works fine in Safari. Perhaps it is a problem with Google Chrome.

You are probably already aware of this, but anything you enter in the Chrome or Safari address bar becomes a web search with your selected web search engine, too.

What’s the full automator script? (Just that get-specified-URL? Or is there more?)

As an example, this Automator application launches Safari, passes the specified URL, and shows the results:
Oh I didn't have a "launch application", but after adding it with safari and chrome, I still get the error...
This application can't be opened -50
