I bought used AirPods and the old Apple ID is still logged in

I purchased a 2nd hand like new airpods 3rd gen from the amazon official Apple store. However when I received it the APPLE id is still connected from the previous user. Additionally there were serious privacy breaches as I was not aware but the previous user can access my location, and I did not realise when I first used the airpods.

AirPods Pro cannot be associated with new Apple Account due to deleting old account Hey guys. I have AirPods Pro gen 1. I had my old Apple Account deleted and created a new one. I was unaware that AirPods were locked to accounts like iPhones (grrr). I did not remove it from the old account's Find My. I see that I can reset the AirPods, but I cannot associate them with my new account. Is this permanent or is there a way to get it taken care of by Apple? Could I recreate the old account using the same email address and associate the AirPods with that account and then remove them? Doubt it. In case it helps, I still have the old account's 12 digit access code and I have access to the email address used with that account. I wonder if this will have a negative impact on the selling value of them when I go to sell them someday. Thanks!

Why are my AirPods connecting to my old Apple ID that I don't use? Hi there, My airpods are connected to my old work Apple ID that I no longer have access to. I'm not even sure how they ended up associated with that ID but here we are! What I don't understand is I wiped and deleted the old AppleID when I left my job, I went through the whole process of unlinking and wiping the ID and requesting it's deletion by Apple. The phone that was associated with it was also completely wiped down. I do not have access to this ID anymore (as mentioned, it doesn't even exist) so how to I re-associate my airpods with my personal ID? Any help would be appreciated! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Solves your problem with Amazon.

Amazon has not properly prepared the AirPods for resale.

If Amazon can't or won't solve it, ask for your money back, you have proof of payment, don't you?
