Can't save system report

This is a weird problem. I've been using the Apple Profiler for years to create system reports to send to developers when trying to debug problems. But, for some reason, I cannot save the system reports any more. Here's what happens:


I click "About this Mac" from the Apple Menu

The screen opens. But, there's no menu bar for the profiler.

When I click "System Report" I can get a system report, but again, there's no menu bar to save the report. No option anywhere to save the report. See screenshot:



Note that the system bar still shows just the Chrome menu bar, and not the menu bar for the profiler and there's no option to save the system report within the profiler itself.


I've tried rebooting the system several times. I've tried running the profile with all other windows/apps closed. Nothing works. I can't save the system report.


This is under Monterey 12.6.7 on an M1 MacBook Pro if that matters.


Anyone have a clue?

On a Apple Silicon M1 Computer running Ventura 13.4.1(c)


Go Applications >> Utilities >> System Information


I have Safari, Notes and Mail + System Information all open and active


With the System Information Application In Focus

I know the difference between having an app in focus and not. I've been using computers since 1976 and Apple's since about 1985.


I've already shown an image of what I see WHEN THE APP IS IN FOCUS. There is no menu bar.


And your example was with Ventura which I'm not running so, things are very different.
