I cannot seem to sync my Iphone 13 with itunes what is wrong

I connect it with my macbook pro but it does not sync? Any suggestions?


MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.7

Seems we can now use the Finder instead of iTunes for sync:

Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your Mac - Apple Support

or

Transfer files between your iPhone and your computer - Apple Support


Trouble-shooting if needed:

How to: Connect iPhone and your computer with a cable - Apple Support


What to do: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


Both Mac OS & iPhone iOS versions may need to be recent, or compatible:

If your Mac says that a software update is required to connect to iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
