Repeated message to remove and reinsert SIM card

I have an iPhone 12 mini (love my mini!) but I keep getting the following message: remove and reinsert the sim to keep using xxxxx for imessage and facetime. I have done this but the very next day, I get the same message again? Nothing seems to happen if I ignore it, but I hate having the notification all the time. Is there a way to fix this? I haven’t even had my mini for a year yet.
