Apple Pay and 1800Flowers

I placed an order on 1800Flowers and used Apple Pay which removed the correct recipient address on my order and replaced it with my own address. I was not sending flowers to myself and could not view the order history on the 1800Flowers website. I have no idea if the problem is the vendor, Apple Pay or my credit card. Obviously there is an incompatibility. How can I find out the source of the problem? I did report it on the Apple Pay transaction and called the vendor so that may cover it.

Good question. It was the website. Using Safari browser on the iPhone. Signed into my account on the website. They have an option to store recipient addresses in an “address book” for easy selection when sending to that person. That’s what I used.

Please follow the steps below.

Using iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name from the top.
  2. Tap Payment & Shipping.
  3. Enter your Apple ID password, if asked.
  4. You should now see the Payment and Shipping screen. It will have a heading titled Shipping Address. ...
  5. Enter your new shipping address and tap Done.

Please let us know if you continue to have any issues.

Thank you but that does not address the issue. My shipping address is correct in the setting. But if I want to send something (like flowers or other gifts) to anyone else outside my home, is that even possible when using Apple Pay? I typed the name and address of the correct recipient (not me) on the website from which I was purchasing sympathy flowers and Apple Pay removed it and inserted my shipping address instead. I don’t know if Apple Pay does that to all websites but it caused a lot of trouble on this one. I didn’t know it happened until the confirmation email came showing the delivery coming to me instead of the intended recipient.
