Overheating

Macbook air m1 8gb ram 256ssd

When I'm working in a virtual machine

My laptop heats up between 60 and 75 degrees.

Is this normal?

And is it possible to have this temperature for a long time?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.4

It's not abnormal.

And is it possible to have this temperature for a long time?

Yes. If your Mac approaches its thermal limits it will shut down on its own.

Please be sure to review Keep your Mac laptop within acceptable operating temperatures - Apple Support. Don't use case covers or "skins" and never cover the keyboard with anything other than your fingertips.
