Apple Maps unable to connect to server

After trying virtually everything, I shut down my NordVPN on my iPhone 15. Bam, problem gone. Turned it back on and issues cam right back. Off again and all things normal. So... if you have NordVPN give it a shot. I do have an inquiry into Nord as of today.

This happened to me a lot until I figured out that a saved favourite destination had its name slightly revised, and maps would give this error every time I accessed a destination through favourite in CarPlay.

Simply removed the favourite and added the destination again, which fixed the error.

Mine was isolated to destination I was choosing from old favourites, and DNS or VPN settings on/off didn’t prevent the error.

Try turning your phone data roaming on and authorize Apples Maps in your phone to utilize data. This worked for me. I had the same problem.

Solved the problem: I just stayed ****** off, complained a lot, but did nothing else. It eventually went away and has not come back. It has been over a month now and all works normally. Hope this helps!

OMG!!! I'd tried everything! looked over privacy/location/roaming/using USB/Bluetooth checked and rechecked wiring just in case.

I was so out of ideas I'd tried everything mentioned on the web and then I came across this thread and saw your response, never in million years did I think to switch off the NordVPN I was losing my mind thinking It must be me installing the stereo wrong somehow?!?!

Thanks JKZim22 all this time looking down multiple avenues and all I needed to do was turn the VPN off.

Not brilliant from Nord - they obviously still haven't sorted the issue.
