Lifting restrictions on AppleTV+ app via Sky Q box

Hi all,

I have a sky q box and am trying to use the apple tv+ app on my LG smart tv. I can access the app ok, but when I try to click on films, drama series or comedy series I get an unavailable message, asking me to change the restrictions in the general settings menu. However, there is no restrictions setting in the general menu! Please see above photos for details.

Anyone got any suggestions please?

TIA!

On my Samsung smart TV, the Apple TV app has settings for Restrictions between Subtitle Language and Accessibility. Not sure why that isn’t programmed into your version of the app. Possibly because the device has its own centralized settings for that?

Could it be that the message is from the device itself, rather than from the app? Does the Sky Q box have Settings﹥General﹥Restrictions of its own?

Additionally to Restrictions settings, the Apple TV app will take into account the registered Date of Birth of the user of the Apple ID account. Could it be that the Apple ID account is for a user that is younger than the age rating for the content?
