How to get into the MacBook Pro to reinstall MacOS
When the MacBook powers back in I am asked to select a network. Is this a normal step in trying to get into the MacBook to reinstall MacOS?

If you have erased the Mac's startup drive, and are trying to reinstall macOS from the Internet using Recovery, the Mac will need an Internet connection. It's funny that way.
