How to use an Air Tag

I bought an Air tag. It's supposed to help me find my iPhone when I misplace it. I didn't find any instructions with it. how does it work?

no, it's not at all what it's purpose is it's really less able to locate the iphone than the phone itself

Thank you! That makes lots of sense - stick it on your cat, and your iPhone will tell you where the cat is! I was told it would help me find the phone.

I'll sell it on the Fcebook Buy, borrow and steal page. The only thing I ever misplace is the iPhone.
