Powerbeats Pro - right one gets to 55% power and then dies

I have the powerbeats pro and the right one goes from 55% battery to 0. When I reconnect it to power, it says it has a charge. When I go to the Apple Store they say they have to send it to be reviewed but want to charge me $320 (I only paid $220 for them). This issue has been reported by customers widely on this platform and other online forums. There is even a classaction forming over it: https://www.engadget.com/apple-powerbeats-pro-class-action-lawsuit-221509629.html. Will Apple take responsibility and develop a software or hardware fix to this?
