Passcode changed itself

Apple Pay does not have a separate passcode. It is the same passcode as your device.

Your iPhone did not change its passcode on its own. Your research is incorrect.

Your only option at this point is to erase your phone and restore it from your most recent backup. You were backing up your iPhone, right?

The Apple Pay passcode is the same as the lock screen passcode of your device. To change it, you need to go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode or Settings > Face ID & Passcode, depending on your device. Then, select Change Passcode and enter your new code. If you want to turn off your passcode and remove your payment cards from Apple Pay, select Turn Passcode Off.

If you can’t remember your Apple Pay passcode, you can reset it by following the steps provided by Apple Support.

No, newer versions do not require a 6 digit passcode. It defaults to 6 digits when you first create it, but you can still set a 4 digit passcode if you choose to.

And passcodes NEVER change by themselves. If a passcode is changed, someone changed it.

1 hour ago , i tried unlocking my iphone 14 pro max (up to date) it didnt let me use face id with the “enter tour code to use face id “ message. The thing is the code to fill was 4 digits . Problem here? I had a 6 digits code for the past 4 years . I am talking about my 11 pro max ,12 pro max and now 14 pro max… you see, it is real . My brother knows my password. I asked him what my password was and he confirmed it was 6 digits ( and dont worry we are hundreds kilometres away from each other when this happened). I saw a guy saying that this hapened to him while using the phone . My iphone ve been acting laggy these days (before this incident)

Actually apple does change your pass code while it updated. Happened to us 3 times now and my son had the same passcode for over 6 years and magically it won't work after update hmmmm!!!?? So it magically changed it self!!!

Trying to log into my SCE account the .com on my email address keeps changing to .***. And now the lower case letter in my passcode keeps changing to upper case.?????

When logging into my Electric bill account the .com changes to .*** and the lower case letter in my passcode suddenly changes to upper case when I press log in?????

The login and password must have been entered wrong, then saved to Keychain. Go to Settings/passwords, find the account and fix it. If you use a 3rd party password manager fix it there instead.

It absolutely changed by itself after downloading the most recent update. It's so secure - can't get into the phone without a total rest.

It has changed by itself after this latest update. And no, I've not backed up on icloud.
