Keynote Text Background looks different in presentation than it does during editing

See how the text background extends above and below the text?

Now in presentation mode...

It doesn't extend as far above or as far below as it does on the slide.

Why?

Any thoughts?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.5
