Whether I connect on wifi or through wired ethernet through power adapters with a data rate of 500 mbps, my Mac Studio is always limited to under 100 mpbs of upload or download speeds. While my phone does 350mbps in the same location.
Packets going to the Internet are sent using the TOPMOST working interface in
System preferences > network
is Ethernet TOPMOST?
if not, use the gear Icon under the box to "set service order" and drag Ethernet TOPMOST. When not plugged in, the next-in-line working interface will be used instead.
Ethernet cables to support speeds above 100 M bits/sec require FOUR pairs of wires, properly connected. Cables with only two pairs are limited to 100 M bits/sec speeds.
