why is itunes on my windows pc asking for my password (twice) each time it starts?

  1. Start itunes
  2. Prompt for password.
  3. Userid shows old userid not current userid.
  4. Account information DOES show current userid.
  5. Filling in current userid and password has no effect.


I logged out of itunes on my pc and the itunes prompt for userid/pw appears to have stopped.

To clarify, when you log back into iTunes you get prompted twice again? Have you restarted the computer to see if things persist? This can clear up minor software issues.
