why is itunes on my windows pc asking for my password (twice) each time it starts?

Start itunes
Prompt for password.
Userid shows old userid not current userid.
Account information DOES show current userid.
Filling in current userid and password has no effect.

I logged out of itunes on my pc and the itunes prompt for userid/pw appears to have stopped.

Itunes in new pc: "You do not have enough access priviledges for this operation' I have a new windows 11 PC and installed iTunes (version 12.12.10.1) - Several problems that I have never encountered with previous PCs: Startup floating message: "You do not have enough access priviledges for this operation" Authorization - I can't authorize the PC, error message: "This action could not be completed. Try again" Sign in to account - I can't sign in with my apple ID through iTunes, same message ": "This action could not be completed. Try again" I uninstalled and re-installed iTunes several times, I tried using a local windows account, linked hotmail windows login and running iTunes as administrator. Same errors. This is frustrating. Wondering if the community as encountered this with windows 11? (As I can't authorize the new pc and this submission requires an authorized PC, the listed one is my old pc)

Hi gocheer,

To clarify, when you log back into iTunes you get prompted twice again? Have you restarted the computer to see if things persist? This can clear up minor software issues. Additionally, you'll want to make sure you're updated to the latest iTunes version when possible. Here's a resource to help with that: Update iTunes on PC - Apple Support
