Can I download the latest iOS version and my banking app and social media handles still be intact?

I got a message saying the latest iOS is available and I should update or rather upgrade my phone to iOS 16.6 I was confused and I still am because I don’t want to lose any of my data or social media handles so I just want to know I won’t lose them if I download the iOS 16.6 version

No, you won’t loose any data when upgrading iOS on your iPhone. Yet, it is prudent to make a backup before you do so.

As long as those apps are recent and actively maintained, you should be fine.
